Psychotherapy: I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, loss (divorce, death of a loved one, major change), transition, and/or isolation. We will meet 1-2 times per week to explore conscious and unconscious aspects of the challenges you are facing. Though psychotherapy involves meeting less frequently than psychoanalysis, patients often find that much work continues internally between sessions.

Psychoanalysis: I work with adults who are committed to making fundamental change through in-depth work. We will meet 3-5 times per week and together will explore unconscious motivations and conflicts that may be affecting your relationship with yourself and others. Change through psychoanalysis can be profound, as new internal connections are forged. Enhanced creativity and freedom are often experienced throughout the progression of psychoanalysis.

Both psychotherapy and psychoanalysis involve a non-social relationship. I am trained to listen on many levels and respond based on factors in addition to latent content. I encourage patients to be open about their experience of me as we work together.

I am warm and compassionate and work collaboratively. I am also direct when needed and I seek to tell the truth.
